Join the 2013 class of women forest landowners for a four-day workshop full of exciting educational programs and field trips related to the care and management of forestland. Women from across the Mid-Atlantic region who own, care for, or are interested in learning more about forestland are encouraged to attend. The workshop takes place from September 26-September 29.
In 2011, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy partnered with Penn State Natural Resources Extension to offer the first four-day educational retreat for women forest landowners. The event featured workshops led by professionals from PA DCNR, the PA Game Commission, Penn State University, Oregon State University and the US Forest Service. Attendees gained information on forest management and learned the basics about mentoring other women landowners in their regions. The retreats are now hosted annually; read about the 2012 Educational Training and Retreat.
