SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2019, 8:00-4:00
YALE-MYERS FOREST, EASTFORD, CONNECTICUT

This one-day course will introduce women to the fundamentals of safe chainsaw use. We’ll cover fundamental topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), how to maintain a safe saw, starting the saw, and the mechanics of safe body posture. Participants will have a chance to cut tree cookies, and will watch a tree-felling demonstration. This does not prepare participants to buck up logs or cut down trees. This class is good preparation for more hands-on, two-day Women’s Chainsaw Safety and Maintenance courses. Space limited to 15 participants.

Cost: Free. Please bring your own lunch.
