This year's City Nature Challenge is for everyone in Minnesota thanks to COVID-19. Check it out!

Normally the City Nature Challenge is for the Twin Cities, 11-county metro area (Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright counties) to compete with other cities around the world to track urban diversity on iNaturalist. However because of the global pandemic the international competition is on hold. However people around the world will be out, while practicing good social distancing, recording the nature in their yard and neighborhoods.

iNaturalist is an app used to identify and report species in nature. It's a GREAT tool to learn about all the living things around you.

Safely help us learn what's out there by reporting nature while getting some exercise and fresh air.

Bonus: Squill Hunt This spring, but especially during City Nature Challenge, look for and report, squill a potentially invasive spring ephemeral currently flowering.
