Spring has Sprung - Don't Move Bugs

It's been a halting on-again and off-again spring in the upper mid-west but I think (hope) it's finally here to stay. With spring and warmer, longer days come bugs. Please remember as you head to the woods, camp grounds, parks, and nature centers to not move wood around with you. Many different insects and diseases can harbor in firewood and other raw wood products. Emerald ash borer, gypsy moth, and Dutch elm disease are the usual suspects, but there are others like Asian longhorned beetle and thousand cankers disease that also have the professionals worried.

Please do your part and buy firewood where you burn it. Even better, go one step further and remind your friends and family to do the same.
